Some people were having a problem occasionally when signing in where they had to sign in again when using the forum.. this is now fixed :)

I will fix the 'Lost password' issue next, but in the meantime if you need a new password just drop me a line and I'll be happy to send you one.

Just wondering if the #OOPS# problem has been sorted. I have been using another forum where its members have been complaining of similar problems. Their software has been censoring references to a painting by Rembrandt called the Nightwatch. Wristwatches have also come a cropper there. Looks like they must be using American software (although it is a UK site)

Can I assume it is now safe to refer to the Green #OOPS#atoo?

Well 'twat' is clearly a safe bet Keith.. but the code for the other more obvious physiological and scatological references has not yet been updated..

....if you're unable to get your point across in the meantime, try spacing the letters maybe, e.g. Green C ockatoo or maybe take a leaf from the spammers handbook.. Gr33n C0ckat00 etc etc..

I'll be back working on the site this weekend so I'll try to get that fixed for you old chap..

Hi Folks,

Last week the server that we hosted the Kirkcaldy Book on had an extreme hardware failure and we had to move it onto a brand new, all singing, all dancing web server.

When we did this there were a couple of problems regarding authentication for users logging in, however these have been fixed and now we can get back to updating the content once again.

If anyone has any trouble logging in due to the new IP address of the web site, just set your local firewall so that kirkcaldybook.com is in the 'trusted zone', then clear out your browser cache and reboot and you should be back in like Flynn, as they say.

Adios.
