Hi All,
It's been a long time since i was last in Kirkcaldy, but i grew up there, at Chapel Village. I am doing some private research and wonder if anybody has any information about that area before the housing estate was built. Also, if anybody has any pictures, i'd love to see them. I am only at the beginning of this research, and i haven't yet had a chance to get back to KDY to visit the public library, so any information would be appreciated.
The kinds of things i am particularly interested in is, was there actually a Chapel there? Was the Dean Park, the main estate, and if so how big was it, etc. Also useful to know is if there was a graveyard, burial ground in the area? And how big were the woods before the houses were built? Any stories about the Rabbit Braes?
As i said, any info would be appreciated.
