Now, birds I like and also plants and flowers, however I have a new neighbour and she has a cat called Monti, he is a house cat but loves to go out on the veranda and Anne has a couple of boxes out there from her unpacking, he makes the most of them.

Hi Betty, what a great photo, I came to switch of my computer as it is way past bedtime, but I had to have a look see what was posted. He looks like a really soft cuddly cat, and what a great shot. I love it. My cat is not a house cat but if the weather is just that wee bit cool she is indoors like a flash. The first thing she does in the morning when she goes out is look for a nice sunny spot to sit in. When the oil heating is on she likes to sit in front of the fire.

Hi everyone, just thought I would post this picture of one of the visitors to our garden, they come everyday and wait to be fed. If I am not there at night when they come, they pull the lemons of the tree and eat some of them and then drop them on the ground. They like certain kind of bird seed and bread.

I have a few more photos to share with you, my new fish tank, some more of the visitors to my garden, and a very nice evening sky with a new moon and venus.

Annie, I'm surprised at you! I have just waited an ABSOLUTE AGE for this page to download. You have recently posted an image 'Attached file: DSCN1120.JPG (981.74 KB)' on 2005/9/18 at 16:39. For those of us who still rely on dial-up modems at 56K, then it takes just under 5 minutes to download 1 Megabyte. Your picture is just short of that at 0.981 Mb. For the size it displays at, there is no need for it to be more than 100K. Please Please Please ask Hamish to explain how to reduce the file size before uploading.

Alternatively, maybe Hamish could introduce a software patch that would automatically optimise uploaded file sizes for the benefit of everyone? Either that or place a cap on the maximum size of any uploaded file.

Please?

Pretty please?

Do I have to grovel? (What is the smiley for that?)

Keith,

Grovelling isn't necessary. The upper limits are actually set at 50000 bytes in the backend but it seems that this one slipped through.

I must go and give myself a good smack in the head!!

The other governing factor is 'supposed to be' that if an image is greater than predetermined width or height the GD2 libs automatically optimise and 'thumbnail' the pic.

As you may accept however, accidents happen and I think Annie also simply uploaded the wrong version.

On the other hand you could always consider this as a sign to upgrade to broadband :)

Hi Keith, I am so sorry I did not notice that I had posted the wrong picture. Please forgive me, I will take more care in the future, but since I am new to this I think I am doing OK to just make 1 mistake, thank you anyway for pointing it out. How are you anyway Keith I have been telling our new members about your wonderful photos you took of the Links market etc..., we are looking forward to seeing any new ones you might like to post. How are things going at Dysart Harbour?, looking forward to seeing any new pictures you might have taken. I am just about to eat dinner so I will talk to you later. Ann
