Hi all, thought I would post this photo of the lovely colour in the garden, and guess what the little blue ones are, yes they are blue bells a must in a Scottish garden and we can get them here. They are not quite as big as the ones I used to pick up Falkland Hill butstill nice to have in the garden.

Not allowed to pick them now Annie, they are a protected species now and quite rare up here in the north.

Hi Betty, I am very sorry to hear about the bluebells, I wonder why they are not so plentyfull, I was quite excited when I saw the bulbs in the shop and could not wait for them to grow. They are not so big as the ones at home but still it is better than not having them at all. I was reading that the weather at home has been a bit like here warmer than it should be for the time of year, where the bulbs etc. still do not think it is winter coming on, most of our bulbs flowered before spring was even here. We are still in a drought and still only able to water the garden 2 days per week for a limited time. We are looking at a long hot summer and we have had bush fires already, we have to make sure we have our garden cleared of dry leaves etc. as we are in a bush fire zone. This is why we have the birds coming closer to the city looking for food like this wee fellow, who came right to the door, and as you can see has no objections to being hand fed.

Hi all, well we have added some new members of the animal kind to our garden, just the other day we heard scraping and scratching in the leaves under some bushes, then what I thought was a wee dove run across the garden turns out it was not a dove but a baby bush turkey, then we found another one just a wee bit bigger with a longer neck. The cat is very curious as to why we keep taking her inside when they are around, she only wants a look if she hears them scratching around, but they can be very quiet and just sit still. I rung all the wild life people and they said we were very lucky to have them in the garden and if we did not mind them just to leave them alone, well we have and they seem to come and go they can fly so when the cat does turn up they just fly into the tree. I have taken a few photos but I do not know how good they are yet as I have still to get them on to the computer so as soon as I get some good ones I will post them. I bet they were a wee bit scared today since it is Thanks Giving, Don't worry they are safe. Hope you like the photos, it is a wee bit hard to get a picture of them as they like to scrape a round in the undergrowth and it is a wee bit dark and they move rather fast, look at the size of the feet. I think they are great don't you. Ann

We had a very hot day a few days ago and this poor "jumbo" as I call them was so hot, they are getting very tame and getting closer to the house asking for food.

Hi all, got the camera back so I have been testing it to make sure all is well. When I looked out this morning the wee turkeys were eating with the other birds like the jumbo white one,
so here are some pictures I took, I even took one of my wee fish.
