Hi Melissa, you should be able to find out more about your relatives as you have their names and where they lived,if they were born in Kirkcaldy perhaps the registrars might be able to guide you as to how to go about finding out. Most of the houses on the High Street would have been above the shops. Does your grandmother have any old photos that she may let you post.
I am sure Melissa you will find it easy to post once you get the hang of it and we look forward to seeing some of NZ and perhaps some more wild life as well.
Well Melissa have a great day and take care, Ann.

Hi Melissa, just wondering if you might have any photos of any animals that are unique to NZ, that you might like to post for us to see. We are lucky we get quite a variety of birds in our garden, and some we have never seen in the garden before, but it is because of the drought, the birds are finding it hard to get food and are coming into the city to find it.
We are only a few days into spring and we are being asked to start now and keep our gutters and gardens as clear as possible of dry material that could go on fire. We have had a lot of burning of for quite a few weeks and today was very bad for smoke, the sun was gone behind the smoke and was dull all day, not a day to open windows.

Hi Annie,

this is why I don't live in Sydney and my can of Fly Spray is primed and ready.

I have now got a digital camera, but still can't attach my jpg files. I think I will have to get a book from a library or get lessons. My work mates can't seem to tell me how this works. And my husband split Pepsi cola on my Keyboard, so I have to get a new keyboard too.

Melissa.

Hello everyone :)

I am Maria and I am from Cyprus , I didn't know where to post an introdution soo here I am :)

I lived in Kirckaldy for 3 years ... I left with my family 1978 and came back to Cyprus. It goes back a long time but I have good memories .One day I would like to come back and visit .
I use to go to Dunnikier primary school ....I use to walk to go ,I remember the warm welcome and the interest from the teachers and they helped me so much to adjust and learn the language . We lived in a bangalow ..it belonged to the hotel my father worked as a chef ..it was the Royal Albert Hotel . I heared it is a home for eldery people ?
I strongly remember the high street .... all the shops ..it was near the sea .I remember going to a fair there , not very shure .
Oh ...I can't forget the snow LOL !! sometimes the schools would close cause of the bad weather , but there is so much beauty in your country ...so much green and places to visit. Here in Cyprus only at the mountains it snows , it is still warm now but not as it was in July and August .

Anyway ... just wanted to say Hi and talk about the reason I became a member here .

Hope you all have a beautiful evening and a great Sunday .

God Bless

Maria
